A high degree of flexibility for learners will mark the hybrid 2021 GRC Conference, taking place 9–11 August. The conference, put on jointly by The IIA and ISACA, will be held in Denver, Colorado, USA, as well as virtually.

Shawn Rhodes and Jessica Rector, MBA, will be keynote presenters at the conference, which focuses on hot topics and emerging trends in the governance, risk and control space. Rhodes, the opening keynote speaker, leveraged his former life as a war correspondent to become an international expert in how to pivot when change shifts our plans. Rector, the closing keynote speaker, is the authority on breaking through burnout, tackling your inner game, and turning it into outer success and positive action.

The conference will also include a leadership general session featuring the CEOs of The IIA and ISACA, as well as a pair of virtual post-conference workshops: “Practicing Agility – A Roadmap Toward Agile Auditing” and “Using COBIT Focus Areas to Improve Governance Practices in Your Organization.” Up to 38 CPE hours are available to earn by attending the conference, sponsored sessions, and workshops.

For those who choose in-person attendance in Denver, GRC Conference safety practices will include:

Masks – worn by everyone in classrooms and public areas

Optimized social distancing – in expansive classrooms

Hand washing and sanitizer – encouraged and facilitated

Expanded hotel and convention center safety measures

In-person attendees will have access to a welcome reception and other networking events, as well as daily breakfast and lunch on the first two days. There also will be virtual networking sessions for virtual attendees.
