Date Published: 1 April 2020

New ISACA® chapters are established to build and expand communities of IT individuals who want to share best practices, provide local continuing professional education (CPE) opportunities, and to promote the value of ISACA certifications. ISACA is excited to announce the formation of the Fargo (North Dakota, USA) Chapter. Because of the rapidly evolving cyberlandscape and associated societal concerns, it is imperative that IT professionals pursue further professional development and have a strong local network that can answer any questions, and the formation of the Fargo Chapter helps address those needs. With the addition of the Fargo Chapter, ISACA now has 224 chapters in 97 countries.

The Fargo Chapter has plans to reach out to and collaborate with 3 major colleges in the area along with potential members in the business community. In addition to building a large network in the area, the chapter also wants to offer educational sessions, courses and roundtable discussions that discuss trends and developments in information systems assurance and security, enterprise governance of IT (EGIT), and IT-related risk and compliance. ISACA members in the Fargo area will no longer have to travel out of state to enjoy many of the chapter-related benefits that ISACA membership provides.
