Anamika Roy loves that every day at her job is so different and, though it can be challenging, she gets to see and learn from so many different clients. Ever-changing technology and processes can sometimes present challenges, but that is exactly why Roy finds it so rewarding. “In my job, I always get to learn new things. It keeps me on my toes because I have to stay informed about everything that is happening in the organization and the industry,” Roy says. To further her commitment to IT, Roy earned a Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA®) certification. “My certification has given me access to a huge community that I can reach out to and tap into the knowledge of my network and the invaluable resources and training provided by ISACA®,” she added.

Roy started her career as a financial auditor. She spent time working with the IT audit team and had a great experience. “I was amazed at how dynamic the IT audit space was and I desperately wanted to be a part of it,” Roy said. “I decided to pursue CISA and obtain my certification, and I have never looked back.”

Roy’s certification has not only helped her in terms of IT audits, but has even allowed her to expand into data analytics, automation, cybersecurity and more. “CISA is not just for IT auditors,” Anamika says. “A professional who is CISA-certified always has a significant advantage over those who are not.”

Roy believes her CISA certification has given her a competitive edge, resulting in better salary negotiations and increased value to her organization. She also appreciates the confidence and recognition her CISA certification has provided her. “CISA certification can elevate you as an employee and enhance your leadership skills,” Roy says.
