Guido van Rossum created Python as a hobby programming project in 1989 and named it for the iconic British TV comedy show, Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Since that time, Python has become wildly popular, surpassing C and Java as the world’s most popular programming language.
The main reason for Python’s explosive growth is that it’s very easy to learn, use, and deploy, and in this 45-minute webinar, we’ll take a high level look at Python’s syntax, and explore some of the other reasons for Python’s ubiquity, including its very active and evangelical user community, and the availability of a huge collection of add-ons and libraries, including hundreds for data science and machine learning.

Armando is the lead instructor for the Python portfolio at Skillsoft Global Knowledge and also provides Python subject matter expertise for Python content creation. In addition to delivering the core Python programming curriculum for Python and machine learning with Python, Armando also provides instruction on deep learning with TensorFlow, experience-led design, ITIL v4 Managing Professional and Strategic Leader tracks, digital transformation, project management, and portfolio management guidelines and principles. Armando is the Founder and Chief Executive of Ubhuru Technologies, and was the Head of Data Science for the Services Sales organization for Dell Technologies in North America. He holds several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMI) and Artificial Intelligence Solution Product Management certificates. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Steve Cox
Steve Cox is the Global Portfolio Director for Developer products, at Global Knowledge. His remit includes responsibility for growing portfolio of instructor-led Python courses.
